Primary care Research Advisory
Group

In January 2025, the Health Systems Research Lab established a knowledge user advisory group across projects and provinces, with the goal of supporting cross-provincial research and integrated knowledge translation. The Primary care Research Advisory Group (PRAG) includes more than fifty members including physician and nursing leaders, workforce planning experts, and primary care policy makers who provide strategic and contextual feedback and insight to the research teams to help inform study designs, methods, conduct, and interpretation, as well as supporting recruitment efforts and participating in knowledge translation and dissemination of research findings. PRAG members also share current jurisdictional policy developments for the lab to consider within their research.

The HSR Lab holds 2-3 virtual meetings with the PRAG per year, with email updates in between. Prior to each PRAG meeting we circulate materials so that members can opt in or out based on their interest in the specific topics of discussion. We also reach out with project-specific questions as appropriate based on topic and province. During meetings the study teams briefly update the advisory group on project status and steps taken to respond to previous feedback. The study team presents relevant questions for discussion and support.

The Health Systems Research Lab acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas.

We recognize the ancestral and unceded lands of all the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who call these lands home and are grateful to those on whose territories we live and work.
